“Others have seen what is and asked why. I have seen what could be and asked why not.”
Pablo Picasso
You say the word Bali and it connotes images of a tropical paradise, no matter how you slice it. Verdant, green hills, with terraced rice paddies, rustic villages with chickens crossing the road, gorgeous, white sand beaches lined with palm trees..
However – although Bali is marketed as a tranquil getaway made of small villages, reality is quite different – 4 million people and a massive urban sprawl. It’s busy, busy, busy! Europe, with a summer season of about 4 months, was not a promising environment for our business – here, the season never stops! Constant influx of tourists, more than willing to spend, is another benefit.
There are many down-sides to this environment as well, however we don’t focus on the bad. We’re here to develop our business further, so we’ll spend most of our time in work. In our free time it’s generally an easy place to live, with a wide variety of western conveniences. And it can truly be beautiful and inspiring. 🙂
